Binomial Theorem- it gives a general formula for expanding a binomial
When one is given a power of a binomial, to expand it the distributive property can be used.
1st: Multiply as needed
2nd: Write the Polynomial in standard form
(a+b)^3=(a+b)(a+b)(a+b)=a^3+3a^2b+3ab^2+b^3
Pascal's Triangle named for the French mathematician Blaise Pascal is a triangle of numbers.
The first number of each row is 1. Each of the other numbers in the row is the sum of the two numbers above it. The power of the binomial functions tells one which row to use.

Practice Problems
1. What is the third number in the fifteenth row of Pascal's Triangle?
2. Expand the binomial using the Binomial Theorem: (b+2)4
3. Find the coefficient of the X2 term in the binomial expansion: (ax-c)4
